Community Adventure Teens

We are excited to announce that for the summer 2011 we will be offering a brand new summer teen program for 10^th & 11^th Graders. 

In the past we have received interest from teens that are looking for community service, a new long trip destination and advanced training in opportunities working with children. We are happy to say that we have developed a program to address the needs of parents and the interests of our older teens. 

This program will incorporate a minimum of two days of community service per week, a day and overnight college tour to local and upstate schools for tours and information, with the highlight of the summer being a weeklong trip to Walt Disney World, Florida. Teens will also be included in pre-selected day trips and their favorite club getaway with our teen travel camp. 

All campers will receive everything mentioned above and the following items:

·         Community Service Certificate, outlining the hours that they have completed.

·         A hand-signed letter of reference from our Associate Executive Director.

·         Resume writing workshop.

·         A mentor from our professional staff for guidance and assistance in the college tours and application process

·         Hours at our campgrounds working with children and shadowing counselors.

·         Several community service projects to enhance their sense of community, leadership and socialization skills.

·         First priority for paid employment in our Day Camp and winter programs (pending availability).
