Our Philosophy & Mission

The Samuel Field Y Day Camp offers a traditional outdoor camping experience that encompasses athletics, the arts, aquatics, and team-building, while fostering Jewish values.  We strive to deliver a quality program that is inclusive and welcoming to all members of our camp community. We encourage, support and teach individual growth, group development, independence and provide a family atmosphere full of traditions.  We believe in the importance of being "unplugged" for the summer.  To truly bond with fellow campers and staff and enjoy all that nature has to offer.  Campers acquire social and leadership skills, and grow and mature in an environment that promotes emotional, intellectual and moral development. We use the camping experience to perform the greatest Mitzvah: teaching self sufficiency and resiliency by helping children learn that in their interaction with peers and significant adults, that they learn to sustain themselves in life.
