Welcome
to Junior Camp... where children entering
grades Kindergarten through 4th spend fun filled days at the natural setting of our 350 acre
campgrounds, located in Huntington, Long Island. Campers are
encouraged
to build new friendships as well as develop confidence through
carefully supervised small group activities. Camp trips are part of
the program and our Junior campers are out exploring throughout the
summer. Campers are picked up from Western Nassau County and Eastern
Queens, where they are then brought to our rendezvous site to begin
their day. A hot or cold lunch option is available for all Junior campers.
Our
action packed program provides a full sports experience and a daily
swim with professionally supervised American Red Cross instruction.
We have 4 pools designed specifically for your child’s
swimming ability. Our sports facilities include basketball
and beach volleyball courts plus 6 fields for soccer and softball.
Campers also get to participate in supervised programs such as drama, arts and crafts,
performing arts, archery, martial
arts, pioneering and nature. In addition, the camp experience
is highlighted with overnights under the stars, a 3-day
Maccabiah games, out of camp trips and late-nights. All adding
up to an exciting camp experience. For special activities that are
designed to your child's age group, please see below.
